Our Philosophy
We believe that children learn through play and play occurs in all interactions. Play is like air to children; they cannot develop, learn, or thrive without it.
At Kid’n Around children are our focus, so our educational program is guided by children’s interests, abilities and strengths, the principals and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Framework, the National Law and Regulations.
Kid’n Around is a privately operated early education and care service catering for a maximum of 25 children aged 2 to 6 years. Childcare services in various guises have been provided at our Centre for over 55 years and was originally established neighbouring Yowie Bay Public School until it moved to its current site. More recently the Centre has been operated as a pre-school, however we have just transitioned to a Long Day Care service so we can continue to offer our pre-school program whilst offering the flexibility of extended hours for working families and some positions for younger siblings.
Our indoor and outdoor areas are well resourced and are designed to stimulate learning and development, foster wonder and exploration within our natural environment and encourage interactions to foster positive relationships within everyone at the Centre.
What’s New
Start Strong Fee Relief in 2023
For families with 4 year old children, you can now receive Start Strong fee relief of up to $2,110 per year, on top of CCS. Please contact Jade to apply.
Enrollments
We are now licensed to accept 18 months to 5-year-olds.
Child Care Subsidy
From July 2023, families earning up to $530,000 will now be eligible for CCS. Contact Services Australia to apply. We currently have positions available every day.
Extended Hours - Enrol today!
We are now open 7.30am to 5pm, with our preschool program still offered between 9am and 3pm.

We believe that by creating a home like environment, it allows your child to feel comfortable within his or her surroundings and creates a trust between the child and educator.
Our environmental set ups challenge children’s social and emotional, fine, and gross motor and language development. Our indoor and outdoor environment is beautiful and natural with open-ended experiences for children to enjoy.

Kid’N Around has an open door policy where we welcome families to the centre at any time.
Kid’n Around EEC is a privately-owned early education centre that caters for 25 children per day. We provide a high-quality play-based curriculum for children aged 2 years to school age, for a minimum of 2 days per week.

New Child Care Subsidy is now in place.
In July 2018 The Government introduced the Child Care Subsidy to assist families with Child Care Fees. This fee payment is paid directly to the service and passed onto families as reduced fees. The CCS targets low to middle income families.
